Spelling word lists for each school grade from 1st to 8th. Every grade has two lists: classroom words, the everyday words children of that age are learning to spell, and spelling bee words, harder ones of the kind a class or school spelling bee asks. Each word opens its own page, where you can hear it pronounced, read what it means and practise spelling it.
The grades are a guide, not a rule. Each list comes from one of Spelling Bee Hive's nine difficulty levels, matched to grades by comparing the levels with published school spelling bee lists for children of each age. Children differ, so if a list is too easy, try the next grade up, and if it is too hard, step back one.
